it’s comforting to know that because i’ve had this blog for so many years, some of my mutuals are also joining the 30 club and i feel less alone here ( •’:
adults don’t engage in play enough..not enough playing pretend, not enough toys, not enough creative projects with no end goal other than to have a good time. when your entire life revolves around capitalism and desirability of course shit is going to seem empty and bleak. the fact that so many adults feel stupid or even shameful to engage in play saddens me. children adapt to this world so quickly because they are 100% open. no preconceived notions or fears, no rules to follow. they literally just do and then see what happens. this is why so many adults stop growing and evolving at some point because we build ourselves into our own personal prison and then refer to it as a security blanket. i am going to open myself up 100% again..no expectations or fears. just doing shit and seeing what comes of it. if nothing comes of it, the experience itself is a huge thing to gain.
